Did you know that the IRS will allow you to take a deduction in the year the check was mailed if your envelope is postmarked by December 31st even if the check is not received and cashed by WGTS 91.9 until after the new year? Keep in mind the U.S. Postal Service has new procedures for postmarking envelopes, so check with your local post office to ensure your envelope is postmarked properly.
